Lumberjack
Marching Band
The Lumberjack Marching Band (MUP 354) provides an opportunity for all NAU students of all majors from accounting to zoology to participate in an exciting musical experience. The solid sound and visual performance of Arizona's only retro-rock college marching band builds energy and enthusiasm at NAU's home football games, as well as representing NAU at select performances in the region. Membership in the Lumberjack Marching Band requires no audition for enrollment, but one may be held for part placement within your section.
The Marching Band meets for two hours, three times a week and performs at all home games. Traditionally, the band travels to one away game and an Arizona Cardinal's NFL game each year. We also host NAU Band Day as well as Mountain Blast, which invites musicians of all ages to perform with the band at halftime. Most of our rehearsals are held in the J. Lawrence Walkup Skydome, out of the sun, making the Lumberjack Marching Band the coolest band in the state of Arizona!

- October 3: NAU vs. Northern Colorado (Family Weekend) -NAU Skydome
- October 24: NAU vs. Idaho State (Homecoming) -NAU Skydome
- October 31: NAU Band Day -NAU Skydome
- November 21: NAU vs. Eastern Washington -NAU Skydome
