Pep Band
2008-2009 Basketball Season

- Monday, November 24th, 2008 from 12:40pm - 2:40pm in the Instrumental Rehearsal Hall (rm. 146).
- Sign-up slots will be posted outside of the Bands Office (rm. 180).
- The audition will consist of the first part of “NAU Fight Song” and one sight-reading tune. Please see a graduate staff member if you do not have access to these parts.
- The band will consist of 30 members.

- Wednesday, December 3rd and Friday, December 5th, 2008 from 12:40pm - 2:40pm in the Instrumental Rehearsal Hall (rm. 146).

- Please do not schedule any events on these dates if you plan on being a member of the ensemble.
- All games are held in the Walkup Skydome.
- Students should report 30 minutes prior to tip-off.

- Uniform will consist of a NAU Pep Band polo shirt and jeans.
- New members will wear the NAU Bands black t-shirt until new Pep Band polo shirts have arrived.
- The cost of new polo shirts will be deducted from final pay at the end of the season.

- Members must register for the MUP 355 class.
- The wage is $15/per game, payable at the end of the season.
- In order to receive payment for pep band you must first submit a new hire packet to NAU Human Resouces before the first game.
- If you are unable to attend any game for any reason, you MUST provide a substitute player, otherwise you will be docked $15.
- Excessive absences and/or tardiness may result in expulsion from pep band.
- Inappropriate behavior at any game will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from pep band!
The basketball teams are predicted to do very well this season. This could mean a possible trip to a post-season tournament (NIT, NCAA).
Only members of the band will be permitted to travel to any post-season events! These tournaments will begin the second (men) and third (women)
full week in March.
